Swedish wholesalers have been sold several tons of pork disguised as beef. The meat was imported from Hungary and sold to wholesalers by a company. A wholesaler became suspicious about the moistness of the meat and sent samples to the National Food Agency for testing which confirmed that the "beef" was in fact pork which had been dyed. The company that sold the dyed meat has now been reported to the police.
The company has purchased between 30 and 40 tons of meat from the Hungarian supplier.
3 tons of pork was seized in an operation.
