Three US troops died in blasts in Afghanistan, bringing the death toll for July to at least 63 and surpassing the previous month's record as the deadliest for American forces in the nearly 9-year-old war.
The three died in two separate blasts in southern Afghanistan the day before, a NATO statement said Friday.
The attack reportedly took place in Southern Afghanistan.
The statement issued disclosed the nationalities of the victims however the US officials said those killed in the attack were US citizens.
NATO forces serving in Afghanistan suffered the biggest casualties this month.
So far 104 people died including 63 Americans.
