Turkish athlete Burcu Ayhan achieved a great success at the European Athletics Championship, becoming the 1st Turkish athlete to qualify for the finals in women's high jump.

She improved her personal record of 1.90 m to 1.92 m in Barcelona.

She advanced to the finals in her 3rd attempt. "I qualified for the finals for the 1st time and I am one of the youngest finalists. I am extremely happy for I reached my best by jumping 192 cm. I hope I will improve it even further,” said Burcu Ayhan.

Women’s high jump finals will be held on Sunday.
